Golden Wings Coffee & Lounge

Hospitality interior, Bucharest, Romania

The finished room down its centreline: runway threshold markings and centreline painted on the floor, glazed portholes with backlit cloud graphics and blue cove down both walls, upholstered chairs at glass tables, bar at the far end.

A concrete shell in Bucharest, given the section of a widebody cabin.

The ceiling was arched, an oval window line cut through both walls and lit from behind, and the floor laid out as a runway with a centreline, threshold bars and approach lights set flush into the surface.

The shell

Before the arc went in. A flat slab, a square box, and a line chalked where the window row would be cut.

The bar under construction: curved grey counter run built out with glass-front under-counter fridges installed, glazed portholes and lit blue cove along both walls, floor still protected with board.
The bare fuselage shell looking down the length of the space: curved plasterboard ceiling arc springing from both side walls, porthole openings unglazed, red accent stripe on the crown, raw concrete floor.
The cabin volume taking shape: full-length ceiling arc and lit cove in place, glazed portholes on the left wall, red clamps still on the right-hand run, bar carcass at the far end.
Back corridor near completion: an oval porthole set into the left-hand wall, service hatch cut through to the kitchen on the right, arched soffit leading back to the main room.
Cove and floor lighting under test before fit-out: blue LED cove washing the porthole band on both walls, two warm LED strips running the length of the floor, a wrapped pallet of materials mid-span.
Porthole glazing being set: red spring clamps holding freshly bonded oval surrounds along the right wall while the adhesive cures, service counter carcass built out on the left, ceiling arc complete.
